Best food pub in Chipping Sodbury and a nice atmosphere. Only downside is that the choice of beers are limited. If you are an ale drinker then best to try The George or The Horseshoe.
Somethings changed with this pub. Came here last year multiple times and really enjoyed the food, however todays lunch was uninspiring chips dont appear triple cooked like they used to be. One small mushroom and tomato and a token gesture of a sprig of rocket. The meal looked like it has just been thrown on the plate. Poorly presented. Not sure why if you choose the steak in the 3 course meal deal for 15 requires extra payment of 2 (just leave it out of the meal deal surely ) tad deceiving. Food was ok but i wont be rushing back which is a shame.
Took 40 mins for the starter to come out. Another 40 for main course. Food was a bit over cooked and had a weird after taste. Bit pricey for amount of food you get. 4/10 #avoid.
1st time visit today, 6 adults and 6 children of various ages. Food choice and quality excellent only comment would be plates not very hot. Waiting staff brilliant nothing to much trouble and although the pub busy all done with a smile. Well done everyone.
Staff were fantastic, friendly and very helpful. We specifically drove here from the other side of Bristol as the food was recommended. Well worth the 45minute drive incredible food. And a very handsome chef. Yummo!!
